Mark Rabideau
Biography
Mark Rabideau is an international leader in reimagining how artists and institutions can thrive within the contemporary marketplace.
He has served as editor for 21CM.org, senior editor for Emerging Fields in Music (Routledge), and editorial board member for Artivate – A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts. He authored Doing Good: Entrepreneurial Musicians Making a Difference (Project 440, 2019) and Creating the Revolutionary Artist (Rowman & Littlefield, 2018) – recipient of the 2018 Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Educators’ Innovative Arts Entrepreneurship Pedagogy Award.
Mark has delivered talks at Juilliard, Curtis, Yale, Cornell, Eastman Leadership Academy, and American University in Cairo (Egypt) – where he was named Distinguished Visiting Researcher. Mark is President of the College Music Society.
Mark’s own entrepreneurial spirit sparked the NYC radio show, Live from Smoke (producer/host); the nonprofit, Artists Now (Executive/Artistic Director); an original work with the American Repertory Ballet, Worlds End (producer); and the New Amsterdam Recording, STILLPOINT (executive producer), featuring Awadagin Pratt, Roomful of Teeth, and A Far Cry (2022).
